Maddy was one of my first friends in college and made me feel so comfortable and accepted and that I could be 100% myself without shame or judgement. We would go downtown SLO throughout college and talked about life, went to the Game of Thrones premiere, played Magic the Gathering. I'm completely heart broken. The last thing I said to him around late Autumn 2020 was to take care of himself and that I hope he was finding calmness and I know he did his best. I'll never forget your laugh Maddy. I hope I meet you again in another lifetime. Rest easy.

Dear Violet,
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, memories and this cute photo with us. It's so awesome to read about the activities you guys did, especially that Magic was still played i ncollege! Love this :) And of course, how invaluable that he helped you transition into college life well by supporting you in being able to be yourself. If you ever want to share any additional stories about things you guys did, chats you had, pictures etc, I (and I know many other people) would absolutely love to see/hear them all. And they will be cherished forever.
Sending big love from Berlin,
Hanna (Maddy's middle sister)
Keep that light with you, Violet. And spread it to others, just like Maddy tried to. TY for your remembrance.
